Tammi, Our InstructorHi my name is Tammi.  I joined Blue Wave in 2006 as a customer. I was overweight after having 3 children and wanted to get back into shape.  I joined the Kickboxing program and was also doing Personal Training with Dave.  The weight came off and I fell in love with all aspects of the fitness world and with Blue Wave.

The atmosphere at Blue Wave is much like a family and I have formed many friendships through teaching the Kickboxing AM classes. Being a personal interactive studio has helped myself and others reach our fitness goals together by being able to talk to one another and sharing our stories.

I am very excited to be instructing our evening Boot Camp.  Each class, we will use different equipment from ropes to weights to chairs! No class will be the same! All of our classes will be outdoors, rain or shine, which will help you to push yourself past your comfort zone.  We will end every class with my famous 25 lemon squeezes to ensure that you get that ab burn right at the end!  I am looking forward to showing you that you can reach your fitness goals and have fun while doing it!

My name is Tammy Bauer, five years ago I was faced with being badly out of shape and overweight. I decided that I needed to make a change in my life to help me get back in shape and lose weight. I quickly realized the numerous benefits of exercise and healthy eating is much more then a smaller dress size and scale number. Discovering this for myself, I am thrilled to be able to help others gain the many benefits of an increased fitness level through personal training, and leading a fitness class at Blue Wave.



I started at Blue Wave in 2008 participating in the Kickboxing class, and shortly there after began training with the Tae Kwon Do students as well. I have also participated in Blue Wave Boot Camps and special events. Prior to Blue Wave I had been to numerous fitness classes, and gyms, but felt that something was lacking. I have remained at Blue Wave because its not just a gym, but a close community. The fitness and Tae Kwon Do classes are excellent, and I have never found myself getting into a workout rut while at Blue Wave. These reasons are why I am excited about being part of the Blue Wave fitness staff.



My personal battles with weight and recovering from a decline in fitness makes me a compassionate and understanding personal fitness trainer. I have also battled with significant injuries and understand the challenges associated with recovering from, and continuting a fitness regimen in such circumstances. I am also a runner, and a triathlete. With these experiences, along with my AFAA Personal Training Certification and education, I can help unlock your full potential, and help you meet your fitness goals.
