Partner Wheelbarrow Squats - Shannon & Jenna
From Blue Wave Martial Arts and Fitness, this is Shannon and Jenna demonstrating a unique partner exercise. This exercise is a combination of leg exercise and core stability exercise, called Partner Wheelbarrow Squats. The easier version begins by holding your partners feet at your waist or hips, while holding them securely against your body and doing squats. The partner on the floor has to be very stable by using a lot of upper body and core strength to stay in position. Be careful when you change positions, because you'll need to let one leg go down at a time, and one leg at a time come back up. Help guide your partner in the position next to your waist, make sure they're stable, and when you start your squats hold their feet and ankles tight against your sides. Your feet will want to be about shoulders width or a little wider as you are doing your squats. Keep your toes mostly forward, but they can point out just a little bit.
