Partner Medicine Ball Passes - Jenna and Shannon
Hi from BlueWave Martial Arts & Fitness this is Jenna and Shannon demonstrating another partner abs exercise. Facing your partner you start by interlocking your ankles, this is a tricky part of the set up; you want both your ankles on the right or the left of your partner, curl your feet in underneath so that you can lock into place with your knees bent. You start out with the ball and lie back, touch the ball on the floor behind your head, as you sit up use the momentum of the ball to help you forward. At the top of the movement, hand the ball to your partner gently and they'll do the same motion. Start out by choosing a ball that's light enough but heavy enough that you can have the momentum working for you. A more difficult way to do this exercise is with both people, both partners lying back at the same time and sitting up gently passing the ball back and forth each time when at the top of the movement. Using your ankles to hold yourself very stable and secure against your partner.
